Hello, I’m Evelyn Ennor

Toronto Stress Management Educator Evelyn Ennor

One fact really stands out after 17 years teaching employees how to manage stress.

It’s the reality that workplace stress continues to build with the increasing and uncertain demands of life and the changing workplace.

I’m a holistic health educator and stress workshop leader who works with business, government, and non-profits to help create a positive, less stressed workplace culture.

In other words, an environment where employees are more engaged, creative, and productive. Not to mention, they’re healthier and happier too.

How to Manage Stress Naturally

What drives my approach to dealing with stress in the workplace? A belief that some of the best ways to relieve stress are natural ones.

That means taking preventative steps to control stress by addressing physical, emotional, mental (attitudes), and even spiritual components.

How I practice stress relief comes from many of the experts I’ve included in my health and wellness resource list. And it comes from years of hands-on experience.

Empower Your Employees

Techniques I share for managing stress empower employees. For one thing, I teach them to recognize tension and its direct link to mental, emotional, and physical distress. That’s a big first step.

At the same time, I give them easy-to-use coping strategies for stress that lead to a calmer, more balanced life as a result. That’s also a life less affected by illness.

Besides, participants find my workshops to be lively and fun and, well, stress relieving!

About Evelyn

Holistic Health and Wellness: My Journey

My holistic health education began when I was diagnosed with a chronic condition called residual stress.

Simply put, I hadn’t given enough attention to releasing physical and mental tension from one stressful situation to another in my job and my life.

That state of constant stress continued for years throughout my challenging but satisfying career in university management and counselling.

The result? I became used to an unhealthy level of stress in my body. The slow, steady buildup took a toll on my mental health and my physical health, especially my breathing, digestion, and sleep patterns.

The Upside of Stress

As it turned out, my health crisis was really a gift in disguise. Not only was my health restored and rebalanced by using a variety of holistic health approaches, but I also learned practical ways to manage stress.

Once I experienced those life-changing benefits first-hand, I felt a strong need to share what I’d learned (Start with this extensive list of health and wellness resources).

Batting a Thousand

Along the way, I earned certification as a holistic health educator at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I followed that with a yoga teaching credential at the Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Centre.

I’ve also tickled funnybones with laughter yoga training and calmed others as a member of the Canadian Reiki Association.

Since 2004 I’ve taught close to a thousand corporate stress workshops. I’ve promoted holistic health and stress management in the workplace through my own workshops and for a national employee assistance provider.

Stress Management Workshops Praise

Evelyn is a warm and talented practitioner who provides sound, no-nonsense advice about employee health that is immensely practical and always non-judgmental. I have enormous respect for the depth and breadth of her training and experience — I can see how she would be a rock to her clients. Everyone needs an Evelyn in their life!
J. Moss, Communications Consultant

I had the pleasure of taking one of Evelyn’s seminars through the workplace as well as calling upon her as a mentor of sorts. Her lovely demeanor and outlook made it easy to ask any questions comfortably. She does walk the talk which is refreshing.

Stress Management Workshops

Stress Management Workshops That Relax, Rebalance and Re-energize

When people are your most precious resource they deserve to be nurtured. That’s why I’ve created stress management workshops to address one of the most pressing health issues in the workplace today.

What Can Employees Expect?

My stress management workshops give participants (both employees and managers) essential tools and exercises for effectively dealing with work stress and stress outside the workplace.

All sessions take a holistic approach by emphasizing a mind-body-spirit connection. They’re especially designed to calm and strengthen the mind.

All workplace wellness workshops are highly interactive so there’s plenty of information sharing and time for questions. And they’re always fun.

Maybe best of all, many workshop techniques and tips to manage stress can easily be practiced on their own once the basics are learned.

What Can Employers Expect?

Workshops are designed to fit your specific needs, too. They can vary in length from a one-hour lunch-and-learn to a half-day (3-hour) session.

Or perhaps you’re looking for stress management workshops that cover a range of topics over several days. I can do that, too.

All workshops perfectly complement any employee health event, staff training day, or corporate wellness conference.

Stress Management Workshops Praise

How to Build Resilience and Thrive in Challenging Times

A grade school classmate recently messaged me saying that she always thought I was “unshakeable” and had everything under control. I wish I could take credit for that kind of superheroine power. The fact is, people always think you look more confident than them when, really, it’s all a matter of perception. Secondly, it’s just …
